There's been a few celebrity babies born lately, but none that have been that remarkable, either positive or negative. But I saw this a few days ago and fell in love!

Actor Chris O'Donnell wife gave birth to a baby girl, Maeve Frances.

Grade: A +

Comments: Two very sweet, charming and not overly common names added together to make a very beautiful name. I love it! (Looking at there other children's names Lily, Christopher "Chip", Charles "Charlie" and Finley I fell in love all over again. Gorgeous names.)

What to work on for next time: Not sure if there'll be a next time for these two, considering they now have 5! But clearly, nothing. They're doing everything right!

The Lane Community College Art Gallery is proud to present theexhibition, Under the Sun, by mid-westernartist, Zina Mussmann.
Zina Mussmann was born inMilwaukee and received a BFA in Painting and Drawing from UWM's Peck School ofthe Arts in 2002. She went on to complete her MFA in Painting at NorthernIllinois University in 2008. Zina has exhibited nationally in cities includingMilwaukee, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Sacramento, and Chicago. Her work wasrecently featured in the Manifest International Painting Annual 1, which waspublished in late 2011. Currently, Zina is the Co-Director of greymatter, an artist run initiativethat she established in 2011 with artist Rachel Quirk.
“My process involves thecollection and appropriation of images and words from various ephemera, such asphotographs, documents and film. I am interested in de-contextualizing thisinformation and re-contextualizing it into mixed media works. These newconstructions are a hybrid of drawing, painting, and collage that createambiguous meanings which complicate understanding. I allow the work to exist ina state of absurdity by choosing to exclude certain information that is vitalto the interpretation of the images. The work becomes more about questions thananswers and alludes to the fact that, as humans, we can never really find realtruth, only temporary conclusions. That really, there is nothing new under thesun.”
The show runs from January7th to February 7th. The gallery is located in building11 on the main campus of Lane Community College, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene, OR. There is no charge for admission. The Art and Applied Design Department phone number is 541-463-5409.

The Lane Community College Art Gallery is proud to present theexhibition, Unfolding Dreams, bywell-traveled artist, Monique Janssen-Belitz, who currently resides and teachesin Crete, Nebraska.
“My life is acollection of landscapes, colored by atmosphere and eloquent light. Immersed inthe awareness of the transience of life and illusory promises of happiness, theland always offers more, something beyond eternity, beyond hope and beyonddisappointments. In landscapes that are so huge you could lose yourself inthem; becoming an inconsequential speck of dust as part of a larger-than-lifeorchestra celebrating the joy of nature. Variety inside repetition; multiplesgenerate textures; textures morph into forms; forms create depth. Thisinter-connectedness mirrors the forces, which shaped the land over time. Itsgeological genesis etched the surface as did the ebb and flow of culturalsediment and weathered erosion.”
The show runs from January 7th to February 7th. Alecture will take place on Thursday, January 17th, beginning at 3:00with a reception immediately following. The lecture and reception are free andopen to the public. The gallery is located in building 11 on the main campus of Lane Community College,4000 E. 30th Avenue. Eugene, OR.
